

NIA
The National Investigation organization (NIA) is an Indian federal counter-terrorism law enforcement organization. It was founded in 2009 under the National Investigation Agency Act of 2008, with the primary mission of countering and investigating terrorism-related cases as well as other offenses with national and cross-border repercussions. The NIA is overseen by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. Wontel and NIA association is adding charm in the process.

Counter-Terrorism Focus: The NIA’s principal goal is to investigate and prevent terrorist actions, including those having foreign connections, that endanger India’s security and sovereignty.
Jurisdiction: The NIA has jurisdiction over all Indian states and union territories. If there are interstate or international connections, it can examine instances involving terrorist acts, offenses under numerous statutes such as the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Explosive Substances Act, and others.
